Chapter 3: Marinara

The word marinara is Italian and means “from the sea”. United Fisheries Seafood Marinara is a mix of Hoki, squid, Greenshell™ mussels and prawns in large chunks to give a delicious seafood flavour and bite. With the exception of the prawns, which are caught in the Pacific Ocean, all the ingredients are from the EEZ waters around New Zealand.

Marinara

The same name marinara is also used for a tomato based pasta sauce and the two are sometimes combined together in dishes. So be careful when ordering a Marinara meal at a restaurant. You may not get the one you were expecting.

The Seafood Marinara mix is a very versatile ingredient to use for gourmet home cooking. Following are just a few examples of how it can be used.
